Has anyone sent their XD in to the Custom Shop for the Carry Package?
They clean up the action, take out some of the slack, add an overtravel and put in some night sights.
I figure since this is a factory job designed for CCW, it's a legally defensible trigger job. It's not lightening the trigger, just cleaning it up.
Just curious if anyone has had one done and what they think of it.

A friend had his XD 45 done, and I think it shoots nice. I never shot it before the job, but it is crisper than my XD 9.
However, he was disapointed from the stand point of looking for more of a competition job. My thought is that since you are dealing with a factory thing that will stay within their legal and law suit defense criteria (bureaucrats and lawyers) it will never be as nice as a competition gun. However, if all you are going to compare it to is another factory gun, like I found, you should find it worth while.
Bottomline - It is better than my XD 9 and 1911, but not near my STI open gun.

I don't dislike the trigger now, but I need night sights (Yes, need not want).
For the price, though, the carry package is a great deal. The overtravel I don't need, but taking some of the slack take up out of the trigger's a nice thought.

SA also does a competition package, but this is my EDC so a competition trigger is NOT what I want.
