Title: Something a little weird and maybe even impractical.
Post by: Badgersmilk on October 06, 2009, 07:54:45 AM
We've all seen them.  Those guns that have something unique about them, catch our eye, and make us think.  "You know, I'd really like to have that thing if I could think of a use for it!".
Norinco 97:  "Copy of 1917 trench gun"

Along with the sawed off, lever action shotgun I've seen used in a couple movies now.   ;D

Also, the Mad Max 12 ga. pistol would be fun!  ;D

FIX:  "Also," the Mad Max 12 ga. pistol would be fun.

Looks like the shotgun in the picture even has a bayonet mount!

You'll have to stick with the Norinco at impact.  And WHAT A PIG STICKER IT IS!

Seem's to load easy & have a smooth action (far better than my 870!)!  Great now I REALLY want one!

It did seem to run well.  Just think how cool it would look with that little bayonet on it.  ;)

"The design did not have a trigger disconnector so the magazine could be emptied by holding back the trigger and firing as fast as the forearm could be pumped."  I can see it now...  "Take THAT rabbit!"  ;D

Yeah, it doesn't look like he is pulling the trigger in the vids you posted.

Win Model 12s are the same way...... fastest second-shot capability around. A good shooter is faster than a semi-auto.

A lot of older pumps did not have disconnectors, Ithaca 37's, Remington 61, 62, 63, .22rf, + the aforementioned.

He was steadily getting pushed back running through that rapid fire drill.

But nothing like a good 12g.

I keep putting an AA-12 on my Christmas List,.... :-\

A friend of mine found a 97 trench gun on the back of a used gun rack at an older gun store a few years back. It had markings from the WV State Penitentiary at Moundsville WV. He paid $150 for it and sold it for $750 at a gun show 2 weeks later.
