I found an unusual 5.56 fired casing in the gutter of one of the drives at my work. The case seems to be a cut down 5.56 case with an flared aluminum rod stuck in it. The case is a little dinged up and I'm not sure if the rod would slide out if it wasn't dinged or not. The head stamp is 5.56 05 IVI I did a little google sluething and foun a couple of good sights for cartridge headstamps I thought I would share with everyone.

I believe what I found was a fired simunition round. The company falls under the umbrella of General Dynamics Company and IVI is a Canadian muntions company, Industries Valcartier Inc., Valcartier, Quebec, Canada.
