There are so many good points in this article... Laws only affect the law-abiding.
They could make a rule that any licensed CCW student must have a safe for keeping the firearm from others. That would be a reasonable requirement.
The problem with a lot of people opposed to this is that they assume that a CCW person will react in a completely irrational, untrained way, contributing to a problem. Perhaps an enhanced training requirement for campus carry might be comforting to those folks.
The basic fact is, those unfamiliar with firearms are almost always opposed to someone sitting next to them carrying.

Totally agree. Ive always said that more guns makes a polite society. Ok, maybe I didn't say it, but I do think it makes sense. It would only take one person with their concealed weapon to take care of almost everyone of these wackos going around killing kids. My son would have one in a heartbeat, but his school won't allow ANY weapons on campus. Maybe they will wake up and smell the coffee.
