Could someone please enlighten me as to the value of a Kahr PM-9 in 98% condition with 4 mags?
Man wants five hundred for it..is that good or bad or just fair?

No clue, but two pieces of advice.
1, Put the word Kahr in your heading to attract the attention of those who have one.
2 Join Gunbroker.com (it casts 2 whole dollars). Doing this lets you view not just current auctions, but completed ones. You can see what guns actually sold for, not just what folks were asking.

Most Kahr's nib ARE $600+, regardless of caliber.

Get it, field strip it, examine it, double check the mags, test fire it if possible, but $500 is a fair price with four mags, get the box, manuals, etc.. if you can...
Sounds like a good deal for a good pistol.
Kahr is proud of their stuff, and rightly so, but your deal sounds like the right place at the right time.

Ive wanted one for a while, and Im toying with the idea of having one as a second gun, instead of carrying a large auto.

It comes with the box and papers and a nice looking holster, although Im not sure what kind it was..but it was brown leather..I had a P-9 years ago and a brain fart allowed me to trade it off on a whim. That was the flattest, easiest carrying handgun Ive ever owned.

For $500 out the door, it sounds like a great deal.

Definitely fair, and more, good deal, not great, very under retail.
