Post by: pasotom on October 28, 2009, 03:32:42 PM
Hit a home run with this show . From Where The Hell Are YOU to Eye Of The Zombies . Go figure how you tie that together . Have been sending links to my non-gun but zombie fearing friends .

Liked the episode as always but MIKE YOU ARE SO SCREWED WHEN THE ZOMBIES COME.  Zombie weapons are all about capacity.  Think PS90 and fn 5.7, or AR with a beta mag and a glock 17 or 19 with the G18 mags.  You dont need heavy hitters like 12 gauge and the S&W 500.  All you have to do is kill the brain.  If you are bugging in go with a 10/22 and plenty of 25 rounders.

what if they're Zombie  Velociraptors!

does the old adage apply?  'I can't outrun the  Zombie Velociraptors with my new Saucony Trail Running shoes BUT I can probably outrun YOU!'

I'm too old to change!

On zoms, the Canadian study http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/8206280.stm is compelling...we've got to hit fast and hit hard or we're going to be overrun. I think it's kind of a Zen thing...each of us reaches deep inside ourselves and finds the inner strength to face the zombie menace, whether it be with ax, P90 or grenade. As long as we reverently study the Histories (World War Z, the George Romero movies, Shaun of the Dead, 28 Days Later, etc.) and take advantage of the huge body of knowledge on zombie fighting on the Internet, I believe we will ultimately prevail...

Not that I don't like a good zombie defense plan, but.....

You listed all your favorite holsters but you didn't say anything about MAGAZINE  carriers.  I have my holsters 80% worked out, but am still stumped for mag carriers.  OWB, no problem; bladetech works well for cheap.  But I spend a lot of time going into no-carry zones and am constantly unholstering.  I can't find a paddle or spring clip holder that works for me.

One of Tony's Tromix/Saiga 12 gauge shotguns, cut down with vertical forward grip, collapsible stock and 10 round mag.  And they have great triggers in these tooo....excellent, most excellent for zombies of all sizes and gaits.

http://www.tromix.com/ (http://www.tromix.com/)

Had some practice with a new prototype at the, ahem, Wounded Warrior Benefit Match at USSA last week, where we raised just over $10k for the Wounded Warriors Project.  Took down 3 poppers in 1.79 seconds (HEAD SHOTS TOO by the way) in 1.79 seconds first attempt.  12 gauge is the way to go for close range mass zombie attacks.

And on the Tromix, he stopped taking orders last year and still has two years of orders to fill.  Of course, for the local guys like me, he can make an exception...if only I had the $$$'s....anybody wanna buy a Bren Ten?
