"Contractor recounts fighting off Taliban. 62-year-old ex-hippie saved the lives of 24, but refuses to be called a hero."
He uses an AK-47 to help protect his friends and co-workers during an attack by the Taliban.
My question is why doesn't MSNBC then call people here in the U.S. who defend their family from gangs, drug dealers, and common home invaders Heroes as well when they use a gun?

Because it would not further the agenda.
