I've got a S&W 25-2 target model .45acp.Its a great gun,had some trigger work done, and is a great shooter.Heres the rub,I can't use it in IDPA.Does anybody make a 4" barrel for this,I've had no luck so far.Would rebarreling this be a mistake? I inherited it so i would like to keep it in compatition. Thanks for any input,Matt

Piece of crap. Sell it immediately. Since we are nice guys we might be persuaded to take pity and give you some small change for it. ;D
FQ13 who will defer to the gurus on rebarreling

Would that be the rare tactical rossi with the almost wood grips ;D? I found a few places to cut it down and recrown it.Might be another option.thanks for support guys, nice feeling to have someone have my back!I'll keep you posted.

I believe S&W made a 4" barrel for the .45 Colt version of the 25. You might find one somewhere and someone to switch it. I don't believe it is worth a premium as is. Keep it the way it is and cherish it and plink and have fun. If you want to use a revo in IDPA pick up a 4" 586/686 or 4" 625 and have fun with it also.
