A common problem with the Glock pistol sights from the factory is that the front sight is too short. Glock puts a .160" tall plastic sight on stock guns. I've found that putting a .200 " sight usually solves this, at least on my 22 and my 17L. This lets you get the full range out of the factory adjustables.

I had a problem with my G30 shooting 2" to high for a LONG time. What I learned (from a Glock training video) was that it indeed was ME, not the gun shooting 2" high. My sight picture was fine everytime, but it'd still consistantly hit high. What was happening was I was pulling the muzzle high just before trigger break because the factory's heavy trigger pull, using an improper grip on the gun, and the grip angle of a Glock.
Try putting the gun in a hand gun vise and shooting it... Best way to prove to yourself it's NOT the gun. ;)
Your options are to lighten up the trigger, or better yet, work on the way your gripping the gun. Between the Glock video, and things I've read from Mosad Ayoob's writings, I've learned to hold the gun properly, and am working HARD to make myself do it correctly by instinct, and not having to think about it (yes, the gun hits dead on when I hold it with a proper grip. Stopped the muzzle climb I couldn't even see happening before.)

The 10 day wait was over so I picked up my new G27 .40S&W this morning and took it to the range this afternoon.
It was my first time shooting a Glock.
Not sure what all the talk is about a poor trigger. I thought it worked pretty slick.
All my shots hit slightly low and to the right which is normal for me. My groups weren't as tight as with my Para, but overall I was pleased with it.
When I got home my package from Midway with the .357 SIG barrel was waiting for me. It will have to wait until next time.
It's 3.75" from bullseye center to outer ring. Shot at 7, 10 and 15 yds. Middle target was with my Para.

My G26 shoots about an inch to 1.5 inches high at 15 yards. Thing is, I don't care. The groups are tight, all inside 5 inches. This to me is good enough for a sub compact carry gun. If I can consistently shoot a group consisting of a full mag of 10 rounds shot rapid fire that I can cover with a saucer at 30 feet, I'm happy. I just aim at the belly button rather than the sternum on sillouettes. Its all good. We are not looking to put one in the x ring, we want to put a half dozen in the black. There are a lot of very good pistols out there and I am not one to diss them, but when it come to a reasonably priced, idiot proof (which, speaking from experience will be you when you're at bad breath distance from the BGs),accurate enough and yes I'd bet my life it will go bang pistol, its hard to beat a Glock. No Kool Aid was consumed while typing this post, I just trust it the way I trust my F-150 and my Craftsman tools. None of them have given me a reason not to.

All my Glocks shoot bullseye's or darn close to em..with evenly splattered-circle-shaped patterns. 8) Honestly, all this high stuff never really bothers me..

:o :o :o Just call it a learning experience. Go to a gun shop & pick up a S&W 617 and pull the trigger. ;)
You may immediately consider throwing your Glock in the trash... But wait! Remember, the Glock trigger is also acting as a safety, and is intended for SD, not target shooting.
Before somebody starts a retarded rant comparing the two guns... I'm NOT. I'm talking about triggers!

It was probably close to a YEAR that I had the gun and was convinced I wasn't pulling it off target. Had friends shoot it, and even several of them did exactly the same as me (shoot high). I thought the other few were possibly aiming low :-\. In my case, after MUCH agrivation, time, and training, I found it to be... The grip angle, height of the trigger in the frame, and just plane my holding the grip WRONG! The Glock trigger is very grity, long to pull, and gets VERY hard to pull JUST before break (ALL JUST MY OPINION). And I wouldn't change a thing with it considering that long, grity trigger is all that's operating as a safety on these weapons! ;)
I recommend anyone shooting high with a Glock in particular put it in a vice to be 100% sure. The factory triggers blow for target shooting. But again, that isn't what Glocks were intended to do.

I realize now you don't have a clue what you are talking about because I thought it worked pretty slick.

And it does. The cool thing, at least to me, about the Glock trigger is that while its long, its also light till you get to the break point. This lets you take in the slack and know exactly when it will go bang. To me, this is the next best thing to a set trigger in a rifle. It helps my accuracy a lot. Your mileage may vary. I also like the fact that if you pull the trigger on an empty chamber the trigger stays locked back, letting you know at a glance whether there is a round in the chamber or not. Its not the best pistol in the world, but I will argue that its darn hard to beat for what its for and what they charge. Good enough for me to buy three of them anyway and carry when I am litterally trusting my life to them..
FQ13 who is not rich but could do a little horse trading and get pretty much any pistol I wanted. I choose Glock, take it or leave it.

Your probably right. I should re-tune my target rifles to have triggers like Glocks... ;)
No accounting for taste! Glad your happy with you new gun!
