Title: Senate panel approves Democratic climate bill (Cap and Trade)
Post by: Hazcat on November 05, 2009, 08:57:25 AM
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The U.S. Senate Environment and Public Works Committee on Thursday approved a Democratic climate change bill that would require industry to cut emissions of carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases 20 percent by 2020 from 2005 levels.

With Republicans boycotting the committee's work saying more analysis of the legislation was needed, 10 Democrats voted to approve the legislation and one Democrat, Senator Max Baucus, voted against it.

The bill will now become one of several initiatives aimed at attacking global warming. Senator John Kerry is leading an effort with some Republicans and the White House to craft a compromise bill, which likely would not be voted on by the full Senate until next year at the earliest.

yeah that will work...  just like lowering the VOC levels in paints.  well guess what, thinner has way more VOCs then the slovents they use at the factory.  You have to add so much thinner to the paint to get it to flow now, not only are you putting out more vocs you have to do it twice....

Not only is it a bunch of BS, the bill is unconstitutional. This along with BHo's other initiatives need to be brought up in court. If we just wring our hands & do nothing - like everyone has done so far - it will continue. We also need to msarch on Washington loaded ofr bear. They need to be afraid of us, not only as voters, but also as armed citizens who are unafraid to save our country.

If we are not prepared to do this, then all is lost already & they win.

Think, plan, act.....

The Sept. 12 March was estimated at ABOUT 1.5 MILLION, even if they were carrying single shots that would be impressive.
Call it 100 Thousand Squads of POed citizens maneuvering to besiege DC   :o

The fact that the House has voted to ram Obamacare down our throats, even in light of the preponderance of evidence that the people who pay their fricking salaries DO NOT WANT IT tells me that the water is beginning to bubble.  Do we jump out of the pot, or stay where we are and boil to death?
