Yesterday, on 11/4, the media was trying to peddle good news saying the rate of job loss is slowing – only 198,000 jobs were lost in October.

While the job market has shown some signs of improvement, employers will continue to reduce payrolls for the next few months, according to Joel Prakken, chairman of Macroeconomic Advisers.

"The rate at which jobs are being lost is gradually shrinking," Prakken said during a conference call with reporters. "We're heading in the right direction."

However, payrolls will continue to decline through the end of the year before modest job growth resumes in the first few months of 2010, according to Prakken. The jobless rate, which stands at 9.8% nationwide, will peak above 10% sometime next year, he added.

Prakken said the U.S. economy will not return to full employment, which he described as 5% unemployment, until as late as 2014.

Today, the Labor Department announced that the official unemployment number is 10.2%.  That means the real number is probably 15% or more.  Nearly 5.7 million jobs have been lost since the recession began in December 2007.

The House looks like they are going to try and pass ObamaCare this weekend leaving the Senate yet to vote.  Congress is debating Cap and Tax.  Our Maximum Leader just keeps coming up with more spending.  Plus he keeps a constant assault on our freedoms.  The “lap-dog” media keep going along as if conservatives have a twisted view of reality.  Russia’s Pravda appears more objective that most of our press.

Speculating, perhaps he may have felt hopeless that he would ever find a job and decided to take revenge.  Not that it is justified.

That's what I was getting at with my first comment.
Somebody looses their job and they don't do anything stupid, but they stew on it for a while. Then an incident like what happened at Ft. Hood triggers a thought process in the other guy and the domino effect kicks in.
Then sometimes it's just some poor schmuck that wants his 15 minutes of fame and under normal circumstances he'd only be 'thinking' on it.............. until someone else does it and then the door is open and they got to 'get theirs' too.

Well they haven't set me off .
Probably a good thing, after 8 months of unemployment all I could do would be swear at them and hope they died of shock.

Well, your preferred method of a rope and a tree is a little slow.
