Send M'ette a link to this thread and she will fix it.
That's the stuff they use to shoot people through walls.

Way cool, don't know about the sow and piglets though, that's future BBQ time...
But hey, meat in the freezer, and bacon in the pan..

Pigs are fun, killed two last year with one load of 00 Buck. Although I'm kind of surprised I haven't seen any since then.
Great video m25, looks like a lot of fun.

Cool, but not my speed. I like stalking close. Still, if its pest control, no worries. My only beef was when he seemed to flock shoot on the second herd. He might easily have wounded one. Again, if its pest control, you live with it, but for hunting, not so much.

Careful, That's what they said about Buffalo too, but they were wiped out in 10 years.

The reproductive cycle of a pig will never let it happen, that is why they are such a problem, 1 boar, 1 sow, can breed at 6 months, usually deliver 6 piglets, 1/2 male and female who can again breed in 6 months. Do the math, and once they hit a hundred pounds, not much going to mess with them, EXCEPT US.

True, very true....but the buffalo weren't having 6 to 12 babies at the time, three times a year either. ;D ;D
These things are about as bad as rabbits.
A mature sow can breed every 115 days.

Funny you should ask......
Actually, we took two of them to school today.
Our FFA chapter hosted their annual Children's Farm Day event for all the 3rd graders in the school system. They set up display areas all around a big open area with different types of livestock for the kids to see and learn about. You'd be surprised at how many kids think that meat comes from wal-mart.
All four are already "sold". I wish the old sow had had a dozen of the things. ;)

There's a difference in that pigs are an invasive species and there are no predators to keep them under control.
