I was driving cross country in the middle of the night, one of the joys of my job, and heard this quote on a Christian Radio Station I had on:
“In Germany, they first came for the communists, and I didn’t speak up because I wasn’t a communist. Then they came for the Jews, and I didn’t speak up because I wasn’t a Jew. Then they came for the trade unionists, and I didn’t speak up because I wasn’t a trade unionist. Then they came for the Catholics and I didn’t speak up because I wasn’t a Catholic. Then they came for me–and by that time there was nobody left to speak up.”
—Martin Niemöller (1945) [he served seven years in a concentration camp]
We can all make a list of things that have left us over the last couple decades, but what have we done about it? What have we really done about it?
We talk about the treaties with the UN facing us and what they will do to our daily lives and eventually do to our nation. I have asked before "Where do you draw the line in the sand?" However, after listening to this story and thinking about it for most of the night as I worked, I fear if we go by the old school yard theory of drawing a single line in the sand we will find ourselves with no one left to "speak up."
Niemoller was tainted. He had been a U-boat captain in WW I prior to becoming a pastor. And he supported Hitler prior to his taking power. Indeed, initially the Nazi press held him up as a model… for his service in WW I. [Newsweek, July 10, 1937, pg 32]
But Niemoller broke very early with the Nazis. In 1933, he organized the Pastor’s Emergency League to protect Lutheran pastors from the police. In 1934, he was one of the leading organizers at the Barmen Synod, which produced the theological basis for the Confessing Church, which despite its persecution became an enduring symbol of German resistance to Hitler.

I've posted before that my own line in the sand was crossed by the Clinton regime.
Now I'm just looking for reputable like minded allies and leadership.

I keep wondering where I would draw the line, and then quotes like this remind me that I should be in the same camp as you. However, I'm still fighting myself about being in the same camp as Rev. Niemoller.

I believe that was Dachau.

Probably in the upper mid west, and southwestern regions of the country. "The Free America" borders will be drawn there anyway.
Pockets in the Appalachian Mtns. and in the Attitash sections of the upper north east. ::)
The "3%" folks are reactionary, right up until they have been "pushed" too far.
Than, the line is crossed, and hell breaks loose. Literally, not figuratively. When that point is, I can't say. Right now they just keep "pushing" a little at a time.
The pressure cooker is still within its design parameters. For now...

TW,
Tell ne where and I'm ready to load the truck! I have HAD IT! My pressure cooker is past blowing. It gets worse day by day. The only reason I don't go 'postal' is my son.

A lone individual or small group can not take effective action in a country this size. There are to many targets that need to be hit at roughly the same time. Just grabbing the 535 members of Congress would require a large force, planning staff, and communications, then there are things like communications nodes, and transportation centers to prevent the communists from regrouping.
This is something that requires a great deal of organization to be effective, look what happened to the Branch Davidians and their only offense was making fun of ATF.
Also remember that the only secure means of communication in America is the US Mail. (The FBI and CIA g0ot burned so bad on that that unless they already have a strong case they will not even look a Post man in the eye)
PM me for my address. ;D

I wonder what would happen if several million Americans decided not to pay their taxes, citing taxation without representation.
I just got my 2009 Property Tax Bill, it covered Florida, Broward County, the town I live in, (which raised their taxes), despite my property value going down. :-\
Plus I pay $53.00 to the Okeechobee Basin, Everglades C.P. $17.14, ??? $487.00 for a Capital Outlay??? >:(, and other B.S. crap that went up from last year.
Could they prosecute all of us? Would it overwhelm the system, bring reform? I don't know.
But this is getting worse not better.
I understand Haz, my son is 14 years old. What future is in front of him and your son? To pack up and drop off the face of the planet and live in Alaska? It's hard to feel the gov't is getting more and more in "my face", and keep taking it.

TW may be onto something, Sept 12 saw between 1 and 2 million POed taxpayers IN Washington. If Several million refused to pay taxes they might WANT to prosecute, but could they afford to with out that tax revenue ? Could the regime be brought down by cutting off their money ?

They can print all the fake notes and checks they want, so you better believe the example they would make out of 20-30% and get compliance out of the other 50-60%, 10-20% get away with it for awhile.

We had a couple here in NH a while back that called themselves "tax protesters" The Brown's, Federal marshals kept them isolated and eventually arrested them. He died after going to prison (they were in their 60's ) and she is serving 20 years which at her age is essentially a life sentence. BUT, If I remember correctly, they either did not file at all, ( evasion ) or worse yet, LIED on the forms they did file.
I don't know about any one else but more than likely I will not be paying mine this coming April. This is not because of any protest but because when I got laid off I did not expect to be out of work this long and new I would need every cent to cover expenses so I did not have taxes taken out of unemployment. Come April I will file but unless I'm working you can't get blood out of a stone.

Mass dis-obediance to illegal laws. It's gotta be massive. Could they live without money, heck they have all of ours!
The last act a government does is loot the people.

Maybe we should all lie (like they do) & go on welfare & food stamps etc. Bring down the system by inundation - that is the radical philosophy employed by BHo from Alinsky & other Columbia 'intellectuals'. Use the 'rules' against those who make them. That causes quick social reform - although not always for the better. But it makes as much sense as anything else I've heard.
