Title: How do you like this I ordered it for my 10 22

Post by: m25operator on November 16, 2009, 09:45:11 PM: What is Boyds, getting for it, Fajen made the basic stock and then turner opened it up around the butt, and cut that fore end to those cool dimensions and demanded mucho dinero, I bought the basic from fajen and milled, finished the rest. Good approach though, it is comfortable and usable.

You got as good a price as I've ever seen on a stock that well cut!

Post by: m25operator on November 19, 2009, 07:33:22 PM: Have fun, with the laminates, you can urethane, tung oil, but you can also buff with a felt wheel and compound and its beautiful, just go slow and don't overheat the wood. Not everybody has this kind of polishing equipment, but it blends all the pores together with great result. I wish I had another 10/22 that needed a face lift. Great find.
