Just needing to brag. ;D
Dec 15 last year went in for weight loss surgery. Started at 439 lbs. Weighed at the gym-196.9lbs. Subtract the weight of an XD45 Service, spare mag, light, an SOG Fusion, phone, and MP3 I figure I'm at least 193 lbs. I'm starting to stablize so I doubt I'm going to loose any more weight, but I don't really think I want to weigh much under 200 lbs.

You the man Dakotaranger!! Lean mean fighting machine. ;D

Way to go DR. I'm doing it the old fashioned way. It sure changes things doesn't it.

As someone who's been fighting the "Battle Of The Bulge" for 40 years or so, I'm not only impressed, I'm damn proud of you!! I will now be forced to live vicariously through you, however. ;D

Way to go DR!!!
I don't care how you do it, it is never easy. If it were none of us would look like we do or talk about doing what you did.
Good job, and keep it stable.

Great job DR. I need to loose 100 pounds myself but my doctor hasn't mentioned surgery. I'm kind of afraid of it anyway. I'm glad it worked for you.

IF it does come down to the surgery DO NOT let them do the bypass. The band is ok, BUT the best one so far is the Vertical Gastric Sleeve. I haven't had any of the complications of the other surgeries.
It took me a couple months to get used to it.

Congratulations DR! You have whipped, in my mind, one of the hardest things to overcome. Sure smoking, alcoholism, drug addiction, and porn (of the gun variety) ;D are difficult to deal with, but you don't HAVE to do them. You must eat to survive which just complicates things even more. I'm proud of ya' man. God bless you and keep up the good work.
