Gents,
I downgraded phones to an Android ( ATT blows necrotic donkey 'nads). (HTC Incredible Phone).
I am having a TON of trouble with podcasts, MAINLY Michael Banes!
HELP! PLEASE!
Do I need an App for it? RSS feed location? I tunes spoiled me!

Hi Andy,
I need to know some details.
Does it download or does it play? Do you get any error messages?
Anything to narrow it down for me.

I finally figured this out, myself.
Use the browser to navigate to the podcast page.
Zoom in on the "Download" hotlink (important for my old eyes and shaky fingers to zoom in)
touch and HOLD on the download link, a menu should pop up
the last options (may have to scroll to see it) is SAVE LINK.
It will download to the \download directory on the memory card
No apps necessary, but ASTRO filemanager is handy to find and delete the files when done.

Howdy, thanks for responding!
Ok, phone is on, I go to applications, then "listen" the Google App for podcasts, it just wont update nor keep/save the podcasts to listen to while driving (often times I have no cell service here in the northeast, hence my need for a local copy of the p'cast).
I have tried some other podcast apps but they baffle me or are limited for a few uses.

Ok, I have spent most of last night and this morning trying to get this to work on the phone.
The most recent podcast that shows up is over a month old. (I am subscribed to Downrange Radio now via the "Listen" app, other apps really suck FYI)
Any thoughts?

That exact issue is half the reason I went from the Incredible to the new Verizon iPhone... ITUNES IS LIKE A DRUG! You can't quit cold turkey. I wish I new how to make apps for the android iPhone so that I could make some kind of app that streams the podcast and can integrate the blogs and videos. It, I've heard, isn't hard to do.

Yeah, going TO the 'droid FROM the iPhone is like a lobotomy...like going from windoze 7 to 95....
I do have a couple of podcasts that have thier own app, much easier to use but still clunky in comparision to ITunes.

The podcast feed worked fine for me in android podcast apps for years, but a couple months ago all new episodes just stopped showing up. Going through a web browser and itunes, i can seen updates there, but the feed / new episodes no longer pulls automatically into the 3 different podcast apps that I've tried (they all show the most recent episode as being episode 445). Did perhaps something change with the feed?
