The wife and I finally went to the Groundhog Day festivities this year. Which is kind of sad since I am a graduate of Punxsutawney Area High School and we live less than 2 hours away. Anyway, it was unbelievable how many people were there (tens of thousands). Given the current state of affairs in the world, it could very well be the last big turnout for this event in a long time.

I've lived in New England for near 40 years now and I finally made the trip to Plymouth to see the "Rock" where the Pilgrims didn't really land in 1620...(they landed in Provincetown)... Anyway, the place was packed with people, kinda hard to find a place to park and take a walk but we managed. Most were keeping clear of folks like the good lemmings we've become...some not!

But was Bill Murray there? And Andie McDowell?

Who remembers the H3N2 pandemic? 100,000 deaths in the US. 1969.
And did we close schools? Did we stop sports?
What we did was WOODSTOCK

Miss Pennsylvania was there, and that’s good enough for me.
