Chop Chop One for Phil and Sledge....
« on: October 10, 2012, 06:14:42 AM »
You guys have a homey that makes a really nice tomahawk.  It is all tool steel, has good weight, a great angle and is a bitchin' blade.  I can't see holding off anyone with one of these for very long.  One of the instructors where I train has one....and it is really, really nice.

Phil or Sledge, I don't guess you guys get a discount being home boys and can help a friend across the water, eh?

No discount - and I say this not wishing to bag out an aussie product but by the all the powers that is holy that thing is damn ugly and over priced to buggery!

I thought it was too expensive also (at least for me), even if it's tool steel and has a carrying holster.  You can't get me a bloody buck off being a local, can you?

Tomahawks are hot items in some personal defense circles right now...especially with some of the guys back from the sandbox.
the tomahawk is a fearsome weapon.  I have handled this one and it is the best I have seen.  I like it a lot.

One of my trainers (USSA) pretty much chopped a car to bits with his.  There was no damage to the tomahawk.

If a person was in the business of needing a lethal weapon that didn't make noise and didn't mind blood and tissue splatter this would be one to carry.  For self defense it beats a knife 9 ways to Sunday.

For 30 years I've had a hand forged "Snowe and Neely" trail axe that cost $25.
I've used it for everything from cutting down trees to chopping Turnips.
