A swamp cooler in the hotter parts of az is ok for taking the edge off, but it will get very damp very fast. A mini split system for the garage is the way to go. Only buy a Mitsubishi unit! Only brand i would ever think of installing. Had way to many failures of other units, same with all my comm'l and residential subs. Its not even a maybe.
