U.S. Special Forces ENTER Mexico. War with Cartels begins.

In a significant escalation of the joint U.S.-Mexico effort against drug cartels, an element of the U.S. Army’s 7th Special Forces Group (Airborne) has been deployed to Mexico. This move comes at the behest of Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum and has received approval from the Mexican Senate. The mission aims to enhance the capabilities of the Mexican Marine Infantry in their ongoing battle against powerful drug trafficking organizations.

This means war! And close the border when you're done.

They're just there to run a training camp, though... which was ironically how the Zetas got their start, MX troops trained by US forces then decided the other team paid better.

I have a friend who lives down there that says, as much as it pains him to say so as a proud Mexican, a full-on Invade-Occupy-Reconstruct is the only thing that even MIGHT take them off the road to Failed State.
