Thank you, everyone who replied. It seems that the Bersa .380 is a fine gun that people like a bunch.

However...I was at the local gun shop today at lunch and saw a Ruger LCP in the used gun section (yes, used). This is the first one I've seen in our area. Apparantly, someone bought it...took it out to the range and shot it...and returned it the next day. I guess it was a bit more recoil than he expected. The guy at the gun shop said they had just put it in the case an hour before I showed up. So...I slapped some cash on the counter and put it in layaway until my "stimulus" check arrives.

I was looking for a summer carry gun in the $300 price range. I think this will fit the bill quite nicely.

I have my CCW and own a S&W Walther PPK/S .380 and here where its warm, is just a wee bit too heavy loaded. Looking for a P3AT, for the shorts and T-shirt thing. I know like Kel-Tec and Bersa there is a Love/Hate thing, but I can't walk around with my Kimber Ultra, without looking like a "porn" star in the summer. 8)

Good Luck

That is why our masters in Washington are so anxious to disarm us. They are not afraid of criminals. They are afraid of a populace which cannot be subdued by tyrants."

The P3AT was originally on my list...but wanted to wait until I could compare it to the LCP. I have a friend that carries the P32 and loves it. He has the belt clip on it and can carry it with his shirt tucked in. I've shot the P32 and was pretty impressed with the accuracy and lack of recoil from such a small gun.

I bought the bersa thunder 380. for my wife to take a ccw course . I had purchased a different handgun for myself. We went to a friends house to practice before the course. The end result was that after a couple hundred rounds I had to borrow my wifes gun to complete the course while I was waiting on a replacement part for mine.
