Hello everyone!  I'm SgtGing, a full time police sergeant in Central Illinois.  I've been making holsters and accessories since April of this year.  I see that there's alot of talent here.  I hope to learn more about this fine craft.  Thanks for starting this forum up!

I retired from law enforcement after 30 years in 2005. Leatherworking and holster making was a long term hobby of mine and a logical choice for a retirement business. I never imagined it was going to be this successful. So much for retirement. ;D

Sorry for the late intro. I,m slow at everything. Just noticed it. I started leather work 6 years ago. Totally self taught. Sew everything by hand and am still learning every day.. GREAT SITE Great People. KT

Hey Outrider I swear I am not stalking you LOL
I just now found this site.
I am an old burn out from the saddle making industry of years gone by then a few years back i decided to get into the hobby side of leatherworking making belts, billfolds and holsters ect. now folks see my hand made leather gear and want to buy from me so I am slowly evolving from hobbyist to doing it as a business. i figure selling some of my leatherwork is a good way for me to be able to keep a stock of supplies to continue my leatherworking prowess.
I figured since i live off State Line Road the name St8Line Leather has a catchy ring to it  so that is what I am going with as a maker mark
anyway I'm here 8)

Welcome!!! Enjoy and bring friends. It's pretty slow as of late. You probably hit a cobweb when you posted.
