This is the scare tactic to get us to compromise away our rights, we need to stand firm and even demand loosening of NFA weapons since they brought it up first.

I don't think the DiFi bill is a scare tactic. I do think it is a two part strategy. (1) Get you to accept any of the provisions as a compromise to your rights and (2) keep you focused on the left hand while the right hand does the real damage. The left hand belongs to DiFi and the right to BHO. What doesn't pass in the DiFi bill will be attempted by executive order by BHO. The combination will be the most extensive gun control measure in history and make the old AWB look like child's play. So SCOTUS, you say, will overturn the legislation and executive orders? Yeah, just like they did the Obamacareless heath law! We all agree that no compromise on our firearm rights is the right course of action for us.

Agreed, they don't have the voters to support anything, they're all out trying to buy up the last available AR.
Our compromise now needs to be "We will not do away with all 20,000 gun laws".
For now

As they craft this bill and the idea that it will say any one item can put it in the ugly dangerous class, keep in mind that according to the definition of a barrel shroud it will also include a rifle forestock.  Any cover that allows the shooter to sustain fire by protecting their non-trigger hand from the heat of the barrel.

- Semiautomatic rifles and handguns with a fixed magazine that can accept more than 10 rounds

Taking another look at this stinker and noticed the item shown above.  What is an example of a semi-automatic handgun with a fixed magazine?

This has been on Feinsteins short list for years, she even bragged about it on 60 minutes in 09.

And it's a C&R item!

I wonder if she's even aware of C&R and what's now available through it?

Silly boy, our wise and wonderful leadership does not require knowledge of a subject to introduce/pass/implement legislation governing it.

Does "We must pass this bill to see what's in it" ring a bell?
