I don't mean to be a buzzkill here...or to throw a wet blanket on this thread, but...

This guy is Jasper Schuringa:

He is the guy (or one of the guys ) who subdued the "pants bomber" on that Northwest flight on Christmas.

I don't have the demotivational poster link handy....but I will leave it up to ya'll's imagination as to what a possible motivational poster caption could be.

Maybe something about not all those who travel with the sheeple are sheep.  Or something about mindset vs. skillset vs. toolset .  Or maybe something about NOT having a gun.

Here's the kind of thing you notice when you get old.
""It may be laid down as a primary position, and the basis of our system, that every Citizen who enjoys the protection of a free Government, owes not only a proportion of his property, but even his personal services to the defence of it, and consequently that the Citizens of America (with a few legal and official exceptions) from 18 to 50 Years of Age should be borne on the Militia Rolls, provided with uniform Arms, and so far accustomed to the use of them, that the Total strength of the Country might be called forth at a Short Notice on any very interesting Emergency." - George Washington. Letter to Alexander Hamilton, Friday, May 02, 1783

Thomas Jefferson: The strongest reason for the people to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against the tyranny of government. That is why our masters in Washington are so anxious to disarm us. They are not afraid of criminals. They are afraid of a populace which cannot be subdued by tyrants."
Col. Jeff Cooper.

Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can praise them, disagree with them, quote them, disbelieve them, glorify or vilify them. The only thing you can’t do is ignore them
