That's staged.  Among other things they are not wearing "birth control glasses", in fact, the black guy has tinted lenses.

As I recall, it took a couple for weeks for me to get my designer frames from the government, so I think it is plausible.

True, but look at the way the rest of them are milling around.
We got marched in to shit by the numbers.
Hell, that tall kid is WATCHING when he's supposed to be at attention. It may be a real boot platoon but the picture is staged.
Also, the DI is way to far away for it to be a REAL ass chewing.  ;D

Never memorized the Grunt stripes.  Is he an E5 or E6?

Navy, he'd be at least an E7 to be a DI...

Three stripes, an E5. A buck sergeant is no where near being a DI. Its staged.

I've seen E-5 drill seargents in the army. Why not in the marines too?

One of my DI's was an E-4 Corporal,
I hope he reads this forum so that he will know that I still think Cpl. Schmidt was a overcompensating pr!ck.

I was wondering that too. My brother was a Spec 5 Drill Sergeant in Army.

I think you were one of the folks who told me you always remember your DI. Fondly, too, apparently . . .   ;)
