Tighter groups with the cans.

Generally.  Not an absolute.
Necessity is the plea for every infringement of human freedom.
It is the argument of tyrants; it is the creed of slaves.

+1  Completely agree.

Generally, there is also a point of impact shift with the suppressor attached, but it's consistent.  Most modern suppressors are pretty hassle free when it comes to cleaning.  I usually clean mine every 2-3k rounds and that usually involves submerging it overnight in simple green or 409.  Wipe it out and take an airhose to it and your done.

If you decide to acquire one, consider the quick detach models.  They usually have some type of adapter flash suppressor with threads designed for a suppresser.  The models that screw onto the 1/2x28 barrel threading should be avoided.  Those size thread were never designed for a suppressor.  The are too fine and will clog with carbon too easily, making removal difficult and it's very easy to damage the threads.

I've shot just about all of the major suppressor manufacturers and I prefer Advanced Armament products, but Surefire and Knights also make very good products.

Ditto...my experience has been group size shrinks because of less gas disturbance as the bullet exits the barrel. Also a surprising reduction in recoil. Have used SureFires, AACs, Knights, Johns and Gemtechs. My inclination would be to go with AAC or Gemtech, although in truth they all work as advertised...

No personal experience, but most of the rimfire stuff I've seen on suppressors has pointed to Gemtech's being their favorites because the baffles last longer, and they were easy to clean.  I'd seen a comparison where they put hundreds of rounds through each brand without cleaning them at all...  Try to find it again.
