69 Years Ago Today. The Jeep Goes To War

Just a historical anniversary of a vehicle that has been there and done that.



I'd love to have one. Not the fancy ones of today... one you can hose out, not need metric tools or a diagnostic computer, and was a great innovation that led up to the development of the Hummer, which is now owned by China.  

Here's to the Bantam's, Willy's, Quad's, and the original 4Wheeler.

I used to know a guy named Tom here in ND had a couple of Jeeps, plus TWO weasels (M-29 without floats tho  ) , and a couple of deuce and a halfs. Pissed the small town mayor off, cuz Tom used to park 'em all in his front yard across the street from the mayor. After one particularly nasty row with the mayor, Tom parked the deuce and a halfs on the street in front of the mayor's house for a few days.
