I'm already a Life Member from 20 years ago, but lost 'faith' in the NRA's defense of my 2A rights  based on some decisions over the last ten years. I quit sending any funds to purchase items or support them. If they start making better decisions, my position might change....but right now they ain't getting any money from me.

They refuse to take stands on issues and instead string things along in order to game the system to line their own pockets. There is more money to be gained by playing out the string than to defeat the anti-gun folks..... that way BOTH sides get richer if there is always a fight to be fought.

They have too many corporate officers entrenched in the inner works and are getting more like politicians they claim to be fighting against. The NRA needs term limits just like the swamp creatures in DC do (but that's for another thread).

As to Colion Noir, the man just makes good sense. I know he is/was a spokesman for the NRA, but he definitely would get my support if he were in line for a top spot in the organization.

The nice thing about Life Membership is that we are still counted, there is no annual obligation, we have access to all NRA, clubs we belong to have the benefit of our membership, and we are still "involved" on the inside.

I can choose to give or not, I can purchase, but what would be membership dollars can go to other effective groups.

Yep. It seems like the higher up people get in nearly any organization, the less they care about what the rank and file want. Once they get a little taste of power they want more and will do anything they can to hold onto it, and amass even more power. Everyone else be damned, as long as they get what they want. I don't listen to Colion Noir very often but whenever I do he makes a lot sense. He should have been America's first black president, not that Halfrican, Barack Osama.
""It may be laid down as a primary position, and the basis of our system, that every Citizen who enjoys the protection of a free Government, owes not only a proportion of his property, but even his personal services to the defence of it, and consequently that the Citizens of America (with a few legal and official exceptions) from 18 to 50 Years of Age should be borne on the Militia Rolls, provided with uniform Arms, and so far accustomed to the use of them, that the Total strength of the Country might be called forth at a Short Notice on any very interesting Emergency." - George Washington. Effing A

Just to put it politely.
Necessity is the plea for every infringement of human freedom.
It is the argument of tyrants; it is the creed of slaves.
