Rural Land Prices & The People Buying In....
« on: September 13, 2020, 08:58:31 AM »
Everyone knows people are leaving the cities and driving up suburban and rural land prices.  Of particular note is who.  A real estate friend of mine that lives in TN has seen a large percentage of gang members buying up 5 acre tracts.  They aren't having any contact with locals...they make whatever purchases they make at Dollar General stores staying away from local stores.  They come from New York, Michigan and Illinois.  Besides the fact of who they are...it's looking really suspicious.

Any of you guys picking up on anything similar around you?

Prices in TN for rural land went up 25% in a single month after the riots started and is up 50% right now.

Gangs base their operations out of locations like this.  They will not operate in the rural setting, but they will organize there.  They will also warehouse whatever contraband they have there, and they will cook meth in these settings.

They will be on the radar of local law enforcement, but as long as they keep quiet and a low profile, there is nothing that can be done.

Hell, i just dont want any more rich liberal lawyers as neighbours.

Criminals buying in the sticks has been going on forever.   Other than drug production( some times) they dont do anything criminal  near by.  They do not want to bring the leos too thier door.  They know the local sheriffs  would love to stick it too them.  So they play cool.
I always break all the clay pigeons,  some times its even with lead.

Keep them in mind for raid targets.
As for real estate, several of my friends are Agents and there are bidding wars going on for houses here. Couple bought a house a couple years ago, $200,000ish. Put it on the market for $350000, closed for $450,000.
They have a new story like that twice a week.

This occurrence is different than the standard thug moves operations out of town.  This move is far larger and more widespread than what you are talking about.  The real estate guy is a retired cop...

It's only a matter of time before real estate prices start collapsing in places like Portland, Seattle, and Minneapolis. It's been over priced for years in those places. Now, salt that all over with their skyrocketing property taxes that were already too high, and all the violence from these out of control communists, and who the hell is going to want to live there? Especially when everyone and their brother is trying to get the hell out.

Portland is going on over 100 straight nights of rioting. What can possibly be left in that $h!thole? And more importantly, who the hell is going to want to invest in rebuilding it? We all watched as Detroit went into the toilet. Now all of these liberal Democratic cities are going to follow suit. The biggest problem is they all have to go somewhere. It will be straight into the red states like Texas and Arizona. In an attempt to turn them into the same turd factories they just left.... Look at what the California transplants did to Denver, Colorado.
