Best reflex sights for the money spent.

Hi guys, I'm kinda new at this and I just bought an AR-15.  I want to put a reflex holographic sight on it, but not spend an arm and a leg doing so.  I bought a Sightmark sm13003c.  While looking through it, I noticed that the reticle moved as my head went side to side as well as up and down.  I believe this is called parallax. 

Are there any suggestions on good reflex sights that minimize parallax while not absolutely killing my poket book?

Welcome to the wonderful world of Holographic Sights. I'm not a big fan of these things, but in spite of that my wife wanted one on her Bushmaster Carbon 15 Model 21S Pistol. It's the one she's holding in my avatar. To be honest, it was a bitch to get it sighted in. It was walking all over. It wasn't the gun, it was me. I finally learned to position myself in the same place in proportion to the sight and then it was dead on. They require a little getting used to. I went with an EO-Tech only because they make Mil-Spec sights. The glass is 3/16ths of an inch thick. The Bushnell Holo-Sight is similar, but not Mil-Spec. It is also less costly. I should add she is deadly with the thing. Pop cans are history out past 100 yards.  Bill T.

I second that about EOTech. I went from a 511.A65 to the new 517 series. Well worth the $350 to $400. I would stick with something tried and true. The EOTech and the CMORE are good quality. The CMORE also offers a model with built in rear sights for co-witnessing purposes.

I prefer EOTechs for the reticle design, but Aimpoint makes an outstanding product also.

Neither are cheap, but you know the old saying, "Buy once, cry once."

Don't waste your money on cheap imitations.  Save up and buy a good quality scope.

 I know nothing about these sights, are there any that have magnification ? I've seen the 3X magnifier that Aimpoint makes but I was wondering about a single unit with fixed magnification.

I have 2 EOTechs 512 and 1 Aimpoint Mk3. They are both great great optics

I had a Pride Fowler on a low rise LaRue Tactical mount. It was difficult to zero and impossible to keep zeroed.
Traded it off for the Aimpoint.
