Anybody taken a look at the Winchester SX-AR.  Looks to be the same rifle as the FNAR but with a unfluted heavy barrel and a cammo paint job.  In just looking arround a little, the SX-AR looks to be selling for about $400.00 less than the FNAR.

Just throwing that out there for anyone interested.

And that is a huge money saver. Honestly, though just a good used FN is hard to beat, though possibly pricier. Still heavy, but it did well for a long time. The Wincheater seems worth a look.

For little more you can get a Springfield M-1A. A more proven rifle with much cheaper and more available magazines.  Bill T.

I bought the Winchester version.
The ad for mine was for $1199 but after taxes walk out was $1300.
I found spare mags at Gander Mountain for $56.00. Doesn't matter what the cap is, 20, 10, or 5, they're all same price.

I did check out other rifles before picking mine up and only saw higher prices so I went with the Winchester SX-AR.

FN owns Winchester now so they could very well be the same gun. Seems to be a real good rifle with reports of outstanding accuracy.

Can anyone post a link with a picture of the Winchester version?  Bill T.
