Yes, there was some history that was destroyed, but these were not the last of there kind.  If you own one, your value went up.  Another way of looking at it:  The old Soviet Block's dignitaries were carted around in vintage Mercedes.  This is one over X, the exact oppisite.  I think I would take the same deal.  Hell, whadda gonna do?
