which is your favorite round?
« on: February 19, 2009, 08:47:04 PM »
Well I am not familiar with the 7.62 soviet and 5.56 round but I do know most pistol rounds and will always prefer the 45 round over 9mm due to stopping power but would like to know what you all think about it. (I know there are more round types but that is all that I am putting at the moment and eventually putting a poll up for the top 5 guns of all time after doing a bit of studying of different gun types and their popularity.

Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can praise them, disagree with them, quote them, disbelieve them, glorify or vilify them. The only thing you can’t do is ignore them

What?  No .40/10mm?

So many choices.

.40s&w for semi-autos
.357 Mag for revolvers
.338Fed for rifles

But then, there's the .45ACP, and 41Mag, and 7mm-08, and .223 and .357Max and and and and

and the .243, and the 260 and of course the .308.  Then let's not get started on the 30/06 variants or even the Savage and Weatherby rounds.  All those shorties.  Or on the other end the .50 cal's

Man!   So many calibers, so little money.

I am going to have to steal one that Haz made me learn more about one time. I asked what is the most versatile and he said the .308.

After shooting an Ar-10 a bunch, and a friends Model 700 I might have to lean to the .308. or 7.62 NATO

But also I like the 9mm so just one is hard. It should be favorite cartridge for rifle and handgun.  ;D
Did we win???
