Michael, that's the only way you can explain your recommendation to volunteer ccw info in a traffic stop if its NOT required by state law. Here in Florida a few years ago an officer shot himself trying to unload and make safe a revolver. Personally, one of the guns I carry is a NAA PUG mini revolver carried in the "quarter cocked" safety notch position. Can you imagine a cop trying to unload my mini? OMG, a disaster in the making. No thank you, I do not want to get shot nor do I want him shooting himself either. Quite a few cops are gun noobs, just my luck it will be to be stopped by one. Personally, I will never volunteer my CCW status. Of course, if I am asked if I have a gun in my vehicle, certainly, I won't lie, but why risk your own safety by volunteering?
