The Battleship Iowa and the USS Kidd will be operating their radio rooms to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the Pearl Harbor attack. You guys with shortwave radios will be able to pick them up if you give it a try.
The USS Iowa will be operating Wednesday from 10AM until 6PM central as callsign NI6BB. For voice the suggested frequencies are upper sideband 14.341, 18.141, 21.441, 24.941, and/or 28.441 MHz.
The “gray radio gang” will also operate the Iowa's c1980s radio gear on 40 meters, SSB, 1800-2300 (Noon central until 5 PM central) on lower sideband 7.241 MHz. The transmitters are on Deck 3, and the receivers are on the Main Deck, so stations should ensure they are on frequency before call in. There will be a delay between transmit and receive, due to the receiver recovery time.

The USS Kidd will be operating as W5KID starting a bit earlier at 9:30 AM central and will wind up earlier at 3:30 PM on the following frequencies: 14.240 14.060 7.240 7.060. QSL. USS KIDD Amateur Radio Club, 305 S River Rd, Baton Rouge, LA 70802.
The USS Hornet will also be transmitting as NB6GC from 10 AM Pacific time to 5 PM Pacific time on :
SSB Freq, (KHz): 3.860, 7.212, 14,312, 18.112, 21.312, 24.912, 28.312, 50.112.
The USS North Carolina will be transmitting as NI4BK from 9 AM Eastern until 5 PM.
