Mr. And Mrs. Smith is a good one. The Fugitive, US Marshals, Desperado, Quigley Down Under. Those are the first ones that come to mind.

Desperado and Once Upon a Time in Mexico...I don't really care if it's unrealistic because I still want a missile launching guitar.  The 2007 version of 3:10 to Yuma, I want a Schofield (or clone) pretty bad.  Quick and the Dead.  Hondo, Winchester '73, The Mexican movie was so-so but the pistol was really a piece of art. The original Stagecoach,  The Shootist, Mr & MRS Smith, Tomb Raider,

Quigley Down Under.  Heck, the Sharps rifle is as much the star in that movie as Tom Selleck!  Winchester 73 is another good un.  My favorite movie of all time is The Outlaw Josie Wales, although they never once show him (or anyone else) reloading those black powder revolvers.

I want a Schofield (or clone) pretty bad.

Ranger, ping me privately, I have a Navy Arms 7-1/2" Schofield for sale, north of Mandan.

From books to Movies.

Best movies that exploit our tastes.
Some of my tastes. Definitely not in order.

2) The Wild Bunch
3) Bring me the head of Alfredo Garcia.
4) Quigley down under.
5) Red Dawn
6) Tombstone
7) Black Hawk down.
Cool Die hard 1.
9) We were soldiers.
10) Assault on Precinct 13 the original.
11) The final option.
12) Death hunt with Charles Bronson and Lee Marvin. if you've never seen this, you'll be surprised.
13) Saving private Ryan.
14) Under siege #1
15) My name is nobody, ( comedy)
16) Marked for death.
17) The unforgiven.
18) The last kiss goodnight, another sleeper with  Geena Davis.

Crime Thrillers - Seventies - British.

In my opinion, one of the coolest guns on the cinema screen was the Model 1932 Mauser Scnellfeuer Pistol.  7.63mm selective fire pistol. Showed up in severl seventies crime thrillers, all British productions:

1. Sitting Target -  Oliver Reed, Ian McShane
2. Brannigan - John Wayne, Judy Geeson
3. The Disappearance - Donald Sutherland, Christopher Plummer

This particular prop gun came in a fitted case, with 1 ten round magazine, 4 twenty round magazines, a shoulder stock, and even a telescopic sight.

Two pics below from Sitting Target ( a British crime thriller in the 'Get Carter' genre), where it was wielded through most of the film by Oliver Reed.

Neat package! Maybe not practical, but it looked great in the movies.
