One that might not be considered a "gun movie" so much, but in which a unique gun plays a pivotal role; "BLOOD SIMPLE", it's a great modern noire mystery.
I thought the gun was a S&W snubbie, but I saw it again the other night, and it is something different. It is a small, nickle-plated, break top revolver. From the looks of it, probably .32 or .38. Unlike so many hollywood movies where sixguns seem to have unending ammunition, the reality of whether the little gun still has any rounds left is handled accurately, and becomes a key point in the story. The message of the equalizing force of a handgun is also handled in a straighforward, non-judgemental way, unlike a lot of movies.
Has anybody seen this film? Any idea what that little revolver is? It's been making me crazy trying to identify it!
