Ruger SR9
« on: November 03, 2007, 02:58:00 PM »
I just had a chance to get acquainted with the new Ruger SR9.  It feels good in my smallish hands which is a good thing.  The sights don't work for my old eyes which is a bad thing.  The thumb safety needs work both in size and ease of manipulation (putting on and taking off) which is a bad thing.  Would I buy one?  I will probably wait for the aftermarket to catch up with it (higher visibility sights and oversized thumb safety) then see if a local range has one to shoot and then I'd but one before any other Ruger semi-auto...Just my opinion.
