Transitions in general, such as the tactical combat reloads mentioned, but also bringing the weapon to play, transitioning to a second weapon, the use of cover when transitiioning if necessary, etc.

Basics, Basics, Basics!

I think maintenance has been well represented in earlier posts, optics has come up, and I would like to add gun setup and other accessories as the final step before moving into use.

Did you say this was going to be a three hour segment  ;D

This has been alluded to, but I would like a short primer on what set ups a person could/should have for basic civilian uses. i.e. carbine vs. full size and what accessories would be better for each in a given anticipated situation. I would like to see how I, a joe blow civilian, could make the best use of my M4 style carbine and my full size Colt Sporter HB 20".

Zero with iron sights!!!!

+1

Zero with irons and optics....and then transitioning in the middle of the fight if the optics fail and you're not using see-through mounts.

And, reliability tuning, if necessary.

There are any number of things I would like to see, any of the previously mentioned items are great.  Since there are a lot of new AR owners out there right now maybe there needs to be 2 or 3 segments or more.  A lot of non tactical sportsmen and shooters have recently acquired their first AR.  I know many who have, that had never had an interest in them before but do now because of the current political climate.  Because of so many new AR owners I think a basic run down on theroy and operation on ARs would be great starting with the basic basics and advancing from there.  Actually you could probably make a series out ARs alone.

2nd would be general cleaning and maintenance, what and how to lube etc.  Spare parts, what to watch for in terms of ware, pitfalls when maintaining and replacing parts, etc.

3rd, Slings.  Seems like there are a million differant types of slings, attachment points, and gizmos to attach them with and ways to use them.  I can't tell you how many times I've read something about using x sling with a z setup and I have no idea what there talking about because they assume everyone knows about it already.

4th, ammo,  what ammo for what, bullet weights and types for the different twist.  Maybe an overview of .223 vs 5.56 and throw in the .223 Wylde and any other specialty chambers.

How about lever guns and Tac guns. I dont see why a 30/30 cant do the same job a shotgun or AR cant.

What set up we will need if/when attending an AR/carbine class. All Needed Gear Head to Toe someone must have for "Tactical Bliss"!?!?

Also Erik's opinion of "tactical bliss"  for the home carbine, car gun, natural/man made disaster and etc.

And when people have this gear, show how to use the gear. Also a place or resource to learn on a budget for the tight economy and worsting feature?

ARs and carbines for the Handicap? I know this is a tough one but one that no one else will touch.

Factory ammo opinions for different situations (home, car, disaster, practice, etc.),when if ever loading your own is a must?

Major(7.62nato) vs. Minor(556nato) power when to use or not to use either. In that thought lets see Erik show us a problem/scenario with the use of the opposite ends of spectrum. 30-30 lever vs. 22lr semi auto vs. AR vs. bolt., rifle vs. shotgun vs.pistol, or bolt vs. TC encore? Along with this I would prefer his opinion of how and/or when to use either.

There are many others but this is a start.
