I hinted at this the other day, there is a new member of my safe - my first 1911.

It is a Para TAC-S in o/d paint, very gently used (something about owned by a little old lady who only shot it once a year on Sunday afternoons . . . .) , .45ACP 4.5" barrel. Super Para extractor and LDA trigger with a significantly reduced size trigger hammer.

Fits my hand nicely, dot sights come right to the target. Came with all of the paperwork, VHS care and feeding video, hard case, 2 mags and a lock. No range report as yet, just picked it up and the ranges are closed to next week now that the flood waters have receded a foot or two and the ground has thawed and is absorbing some of the overland water.

Yeah, I agree. I had looked at the Taurus 24/7 OSS and when I went in to buy, this little guy was in the case a shelf above. More money - lots more - but it is a Para. Now, if only I can get extra mags for it . . . .

Working on that. I was going to go this weekend, but there is a gun show in Detroit Lakes Saturday so I may head there first thing instead of the range. Also, I messed up my right shoulder so I would have to run it using my weak hand. But soon. . . .
