Michael,
I have been on vacation, and I am just now catching up on the podcast. In this episode, you were decrying that no serious writer of fiction would make up a plot where agency A would sell an illegal product to agency B.
I beg to differ. In the Miami Vice pilot, there's a scene where 4 guys meet to do a drug deal. (One of these guys is Sonny Crockett.) One of the LEOs pulls a gun to initiate the takedown. One guy jackrabbits while the other three guys are left pointing guns at each other. It turn out that 3 of the 4 guys at the buy are cops, and that no prior coordination had taken place.
So, does life imitate art or vice-versa?
Keep up the good work!
