Love the show but in episode 308, MB says that AR is the most common rifle platform in the world. North America maybe but I thing the AK and variants are by far more common.

My apologies...you are correct. I believe at this point that are more M16/M4 rifles in current service than the AK platform, but in terms of sheer legacy numbers, the AK-47 is the most prolific rifle on earth.

When you said that about the AR, I thought the same as well. That the AK platform was far more common. However, you went on to talk about the availability of scavenging. I agree with MB on this one. Take the AR that you have, and if / when the time / opportunity presents itself, you will most likely be able to pick up an AK.
