Mmmm, bourbon... I love bourbon so much....

So, I hesitate to ask because when you start talking bourbons all of a sudden it turns into the $150 a bottle conversation. I admit I am completely ignorant of the very expensive bourbons and also all the new "boutique" bourbons. I just don't buy them.

I've always been an Old Grandad guy, but in particular, the 100 proof (green label highlights). I find the flavor of that perfect for my palate. I also like the Maker's Mark 46, but now you're getting into some dough.  My favorite really cheap bourbon is Evan Williams. It's surprisingly good for the price.

Just thought I'd up the ante a little since I love bourbon so much. No, it's not a problem, Tim.

Yes Jay, me and Evan get along fine!

Makers Mark, Wild Turkey, on occasion.  Beam Black ain’t shabby.

There are too many to try at our local store but nips are available to sample.

Evan suits me just fine.  It's modestly priced and that allows me to indulge without guilt.

There are a couple of others that are more than just palatable and don't break the bank.  Justify is one.  Larceny is another.  They tend to cost a bit more, but don't break into the Maker's Mark price range.

Maker's I save for special occasions--like Fridays.
