Yep!

But how did this military rifle end up in civvie hands?  ???
Anti: I think some of you gentleman would choose to apply a gun shaped remedy to any problem or potential problem that presented itself? Your reverance (sic) for firearms is maintained with an almost religious zeal. The mind boggles! it really does...

Me: Naw, we just apply a gun-shaped remedy to those extreme life threatening situations that call for it. All the less urgent problems we're willing to discuss.

Gives a new meaning to the Civilian Marksmanship Program doesn't it?
Firearms stand next in importance to the Constitution itself. They are the American people's liberty teeth and keystone under independence. The very atmosphere of firearms everywhere restrains evil interference. - George Washington

There is a www.vpc.org joke in there somewhere, but I just cant figure out exactly what it might be...... Maybe something about the fact that in the real world, the .50 is actually a highly effective anti-terrorism weapon!

In this configuration (no optics) the only difference from the civilian model is the color.  I have seen these on gunbroker off and on for a couple years.  If you've got ten grand laying around it isn't a bad price.  If I start buying lottery tickets, and if I buy the right ticket, this gun ain't too far down the list of toys ... right along with lots of land to shoot it on.
If I appear taller than other men it is because I am standing on the shoulders of others.

It would be a blast to shoot, no pun intended. Cripes, all the guns I could buy with that much cash! Excuse me while I dream.

Excess property sale?
Necessity is the plea for every infringement of human freedom.
It is the argument of tyrants; it is the creed of slaves.
