Plus another 1 from this old Crusader.  Don't need it.  Don't want it. Won't use it...  ever.

Even at a ball game, when someone talks during the anthem or doesn’t take off his hat, it pisses me off. I’m not one to be quiet about it, either.”  Chris Kyle

No, not FB itself. It's an add-on extension called Facebook Purity (like an outside app) that piggy-backs to FB and gives you more individual customization of what you see and don't see on each page. You can even control foul language to an extent. One of the options alerts you to friends being absent from your list, whether they left FB or just deactivated during a vacation as some do.
I run it to eliminate all the useless ads and crap.
"I expect perdition, I always have. I keep this building at my back, and several guns handy, in case perdition arrives in a form that's susceptible to bullets. I expect it will come in the disease form, though. I'm susceptible to diseases, and you can't shoot a damned disease." ~ Judge Roy Bean, Streets of Laredo

For the Patriots of this country, the Constitution is second only to the Bible for most. For those who love this country, but do not share my personal beliefs, it is their Bible. To them nothing comes before the Constitution of these United States of America. For this we are all labeled potential terrorists. ~ Dean Garrison

Unfortunately fbpurity doesn't work on Android phones, which is what I use 90% of the time for internetty thingies.  The ads got to be too much, and I was only seeing posts from about 5 people that Facebook chose for me (thank you very much).  I've been using MeWe more lately, but it's very lonely over there.

Mewe doesn't track you and doesn't have ads all over the place.  There is also a fairly robust firearms community on there.  Buying/selling, too.

I want you to join me on MeWe, the Next-Gen Social Network. No Ads. No Spyware. No BS: https://mewe.com/i/brian.chiaravalle

Has anyone else heard about the 90 million Facebook accounts that got hacked? About 2 weeks ago Facebook said that its social network had been hacked, resulting in 40 million accounts that were directly impacted, while another 50 million were also considered to be potentially affected. I read that Facebook is the only place that people aren't talking about it.
""It may be laid down as a primary position, and the basis of our system, that every Citizen who enjoys the protection of a free Government, owes not only a proportion of his property, but even his personal services to the defence of it, and consequently that the Citizens of America (with a few legal and official exceptions) from 18 to 50 Years of Age should be borne on the Militia Rolls, provided with uniform Arms, and so far accustomed to the use of them, that the Total strength of the Country might be called forth at a Short Notice on any very interesting Emergency." - George Washington.
