Now I know where they grow Slim Jims.

Now I know why they taste like sh*t. Still not sure about the wet cardboard texture.  ???
""It may be laid down as a primary position, and the basis of our system, that every Citizen who enjoys the protection of a free Government, owes not only a proportion of his property, but even his personal services to the defence of it, and consequently that the Citizens of America (with a few legal and official exceptions) from 18 to 50 Years of Age should be borne on the Militia Rolls, provided with uniform Arms, and so far accustomed to the use of them, that the Total strength of the Country might be called forth at a Short Notice on any very interesting Emergency." - George Washington. Hello all. My name I Craig and I am from Kansas. GO Jayhawks! I have been a long time shooter, since I got my first rifle at a young age. I don't remember how old I was though! It was a Browning BL-22 and I still have it. Love to shoot and hunt and just recently found the time to lurk around here and "listen" to the great advice and chatter. And a note to Mr. Bane, I took your advice and got my second AR today. A Stag Arms 3L. Woohoo! Thanks for the great info everyone and if I feel I have something worthwhile to contribute, I will speak up.

Thanks

don't worry about 'worth while' . if you haven't noticed, that's a fairly loose term around here.

"I expect perdition, I always have. I keep this building at my back, and several guns handy, in case perdition arrives in a form that's susceptible to bullets. I expect it will come in the disease form, though. I'm susceptible to diseases, and you can't shoot a damned disease." ~ Judge Roy Bean, Streets of Laredo

I suppose after crashing your party a month or so ago, I should introduce my self.  My name is obvious and I'm 29 years, 8,120 days old give or take a few hours. ::)

I'm a Navy Veteran of six years from a Naval family of 42 years of active service.  I'm what my wife calls a loveable pain in the ass and my daughter thinks of me as her anoying little brother.  I'm realitively conservative in my politics and enjoy a good debate.  I may, on occasion, dumb down the conversation but will always strive for good grammar, spelling and punctuation with a bit of dry humor mixed in.

I enjoy shooting, hunting and fishing has been a lifelong passion that I do almost daily.  It's quite refreshing to find a site of men and women who share similar experiences and love of country so I do hope you don't mind if I stick around for a while.  You see, I live in a hotbed of socialism and find myself lacking in any intelligent conversation with the locals. :)

Marshall, M'Ette and MB have made a pretty good place to play, thanks!

Timothy
