Hello Forum Members!

I'm a martial arts, knife (with thanks to Mike Janich) and pistol instructor in Amarillo by night, Texas and sort of a science geek/emergency guy by day.  I've been members of several other forums and may know some of you from those venues.

If you're in Amarillo or the Texas Panhandle region, don't hesitate to drop me a line!  I'm always looking for more training partners.

I've been a big fan of both Mike and Rob for several years and I'm thrilled to find this community.

Welcome Charles Rives, many others in more states, have a similar mindset.

This is a genuine forum with many knowledgeable members that enjoy sharing everything and anything to do with firearms, tactics, equip, and the current news regarding our country.

Glad your here.

PS We have to throw in sarcasm and humor, of course.....It's how we roll.... ::)
Thomas Jefferson: The strongest reason for the people to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against the tyranny of government. That is why our masters in Washington are so anxious to disarm us. They are not afraid of criminals. They are afraid of a populace which cannot be subdued by tyrants."

You Texans keep enjoying feeling smug.  In a few days us northerners will thaw out from this beautiful spring blast and express ourselves.  Damn it's cold!  Above freezing Saturday night, six inches of snow between 10:00 AM and 11:30 AM on Sunday, 60 and sunny Sunday afternoon; 35 and windy on Monday; an inch of ice early this morning followed by four inches of snow high winds and it is zero out there right now.

Did I say welcome to the nuthouse, or did I just rant about our tropical beeches?

While spring is just around the corner, Laura and I sit at the base of a popular ski mountain, where the current snow base is 5, YUP FIVE feet.

Two years ago we were in Texas watching our son graduate from Air Force boot camp.  It was 60 degrees and we were enjoying the pool on top of the hotel roof in San Antonio.  People thought we were crazy.....they were correct, but that's another story for another time.
