brass polish for tightwads
« on: December 13, 2007, 04:53:42 PM »
Ok, being a tightwad with 1000's of pieces of brass needing polishing, I'm looking for suggestions.  I have a dry vibratory polisher, corncob and walnut media (without any coatings).  Brass turns out clean, but not really polished.  I've tried the 1/2 H2O and 1/2 vinegar, which I guess looks a little better, but not much.  I've heard old dryer sheets in the media can help some, but haven't tried it yet.  I don't want to spend any more than I have to, but I would like the brass to look shiney.  Any ideas? I guess I want the ammo to look new (as new as possible anyway)

Lots of guys I know use a little bit of "nufinish" car polish in thier mix.  I've personally never tried it, but it appears to work just fine.
I always break all the clay pigeons,  some times its even with lead.
