You can cut down on carbs even more by using lettuce as a wrap, but some type of bread sounds better to me. Tortillas, pitas, anything, but I've done the no bread, toss it on a plate thing too when I didn't have any. I live a couple of blocks from a place that makes pita bread. I need to take a little walk and get some but it's too late today. There's always something around here I can put on bread.
I got a jar of good crispy pickles there made from wild cucumbers that my friends and I liked. I just looked up Lebanese wild cucumbers and found this online:
Q: I would like to grow cucumbers for the Lebanese pickles I find in Middle Eastern grocery stores. The labels say wild cucumber. Can you tell me what that is and suggest a source for seeds?
A: If it looks like a cucumber and tastes like a cucumber, it must be -- a melon. The pickles are the young fruits of Cucumis melo var. flexuosus. This plant is not only botanically distinct from cucumbers (C. sativus), but also a cultivated variety. There is nothing wild about it.
It turns out they're actually a type of muskmelon called Armenian cucumbers that are pickled when they're small. They're also known as yard-long cucumbers and actually can get up to a yard long, but won't be any good if they're that big. Like zucchinis that are too big. If you like pickles and there's anyplace nearby that sells them, give them a try. You can thank me later. Or not.
