For the first 90 - 100 years after the Civil war Blacks did not have this sense of entitlement. The attitude was "Get educated and SHOW those folks what you can do". Then came the liberal dems with their "entitlement" programs, and affirmative action (which basically says "We know Blacks are to dumb and lazy to compete so we will lower the standards for them") After 40 years of this type of brain washing is it any wonder that we are seeing this attitude toward a Black President ?

Precisiously. All I can add to this is that the Democrat Plantation has produced all of the brain washing and will keep most of the blacks firming on the left for the foreseeable future.

Micheal Steele, Ken Blackwell, and especially Clareance Thomas must be continuously praised as an alternative way to think about Black issues, rather than as Uncle Toms. Remember, Clareance Thomas had a famous 1980's showdown with the person is now America's Big Duce, and was also specifically sited as a judge that Obama would not nominate during the Saddleback Forum.

Seen this before. When David Dinkins was elected Mayor of NYC. Ask any Noo Yawker about that time. Worst period in the recent history of the city.

Dinkins lasted one term, voters could not wait to get rid of him, even in a city where WASPS are a minority. Bad thing is that Dinkins Begat Rudie Giuliani, who is the closest thing to a Fascist this country has ever seen. But Rudie did clean the city up after the Dinkins Fiasco.

I remember how family and friends in the NYPD were demoralized during Dinkin's reign and celebrated Giuliani.

"It's Giuliani time"was a common reply to whiny perps.

But Rudie took away carry permits from almost everyone, except influential folks.

I think the opposite will be true.... Obama is going to be the biggest let down in American history. There is simply no way that he will be able to live up to the hype...... there will be countless people who were 1st time voters this election (people who voted just because of Obama) who will become very disgruntled at the election process because Obama was such a let down....... Hopefully there will  be a direct correlation to the Dem party and the GOP will be able to crawl out of this pit that they have gotten themselves into........ if so you will see many Blacks and young voters either stop participating in the process or they will find their way across the isle and become very anti Dem.

Only if the Rep. party pulls it's head out and quits nominating RINO's.

Saturday the media was falling all over itself to report the latest Gallop Poll ... Not sure what day is was taken, but let's give them credit for doing it on Friday.  That would mean that with a whole two days in office the American people gave him a 68% approval record.  Some things will never change ... we are a Nation of idiots that don't think beyond emotions and instant gratification  >:( >:(

And the nail said "welcome" to the hammer.

I worked for years with a gentleman (who just happened to be Black) who said basically the same thing. He said 'affirmative action' set the Black community three steps back from where it needed to be. He said it was a 'slap in the face to an honest Black man'. His opinion was that it was 'just as bad to give a job to a man based on the color of his skin as it was to not give him a job based on the color of his skin'.

My niece was in D.C. for the big hoopla festival. She said after the inauguration, her group was approached by a few Black teenagers who taunted them saying "You white folks gonna see how it is now. We got The Obama and now WE in charge."
"I expect perdition, I always have. I keep this building at my back, and several guns handy, in case perdition arrives in a form that's susceptible to bullets. I expect it will come in the disease form, though. I'm susceptible to diseases, and you can't shoot a damned disease." ~ Judge Roy Bean, Streets of Laredo

For the Patriots of this country, the Constitution is second only to the Bible for most. For those who love this country, but do not share my personal beliefs, it is their Bible. To them nothing comes before the Constitution of these United States of America. For this we are all labeled potential terrorists. ~ Dean Garrison

Unfortunately the black community hasn't ever been in charge of anything, even themselves, so I find it amusing to think that the members of the black community could be elated that only now can they be in charge of anything.  That they were somehow waiting for the perfect moment and take control of their lives, when electing a socialist government is completely opposite to that believe.  But now that there is someone who is president that looks like me we can pull our lives, and culture together.  When sadly they could have done this 40 years ago, its sad to think that the black community of of the 40's and 50's struggled so much for equality, to work for a right they should have had, not felling sorry for themselves, and current black culture has done everything to reverse that by becoming dependents of the government.

And I believe that Obama's rating the day of the election was %80, so a fall to %68 in just a few days isn't something I'd advertise if I was them.

I don't think so............... I think he is going to be adored no matter what he does..

I guess time will tell.. but I think if he sprouted horns and tail.. people will find an excuse why he has them and eventually be wanting some of their own.
